Down on the organic farm

Experience the works of Blair Castle’s Home Farm on a trailer ride tour, pulled by a farm tractor.

Fun for all the family, the tour will take in the managed landscape and farm buildings surrounding Blair Castle. Children receive an activity pack with crayons, and can have a sit on the tractor after the tour. Adults receive an introductory offer on Atholl Glens Organic Meat

Dates:

Saturday 23 March, Saturday 12 April, Saturday 3 May & Saturday 31 May

Every Monday, Thursday and Friday from 30 June until Wednesday 20 August.

Time: 2.00 – 3.30pm (90 minutes)

Cost: Adults £5, Children (under 16*) £3, Children (under 3) free. Family (2 adults, 2 children) £15. * Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets can be purchased from 9.30am on the day from Blair Castle Caravan Park reception or Blair Castle Front Hall. Tickets to be presented prior to departure.

Down on the farm (organic farm tour)

Experience the workings of Blair Castle’s Balanloan Home Farm on a 90 minute trailer ride, pulled by a farm tractor. The tour will be led by current, and previous, farm staff and will take in the managed landscape and farm buildings surrounding Blair Castle. Balanloan is an organic beef cattle and sheep farm and part of the co-operative of Atholl Estates’ farms that supply Atholl Glens Organic Meat (mail order).

Booking conditions:

Booking for farm tours are available by prior arrangement (subject to availability). The minimum booking fee payable will be £80 for up to 16 people. For each additional person, up to a maximum of 30, £5 per adult and £3 per child will be payable.

A deposit of 25% is payable by credit/debit card on booking, with final payment taken on the day of the tour. This deposit is non-refundable. If a cancellation is made within 14 days of the tour, the full amount will be charged. Full terms and conditions available on booking.

School groups

By prior arrangement, farm tours can be booked for school groups at a rate of £98 for up to 28 children and two teachers/carers. School children can learn about organic farming and an activity book can be supplied, alternatively we can work with you to develop educational activities for the tour linked to your curriculum.
