Roaring Stag Safaris

The hills of Atholl Estates come alive with hundreds of red deer during rutting season and the best chance of witnessing this first hand is on one of our Roaring Stag Safaris. Listen to the bellowing roar and watch them lock antlers as they battle for mates.

Our safaris are hosted by experienced guides who live on the estate and have a lifetime of experience working with the deer. Taking in some of the most breathtaking views of Highland Perthshire, you will be guided through open countryside, woodland enclosures and up into the hills allowing you to discover the dramatic and tranquil scenery of our 145,000 acre estate.

Safaris are extremely popular during this season so early booking is recommended.

Scheduled times for the Roaring Stag safaris are:

Every Sunday in October at 7am, 10am and 2pm. Adult £40, Child (aged 3-13) £20

Private Safaris are also available for £200 for up to 6 people
