Launch of Blair Castle Sculpture Trail

Explore the beautiful gardens and grounds of Blair Castle by following a sculpture trail.

The Sculpture Trail incorporates existing contemporary and 18th century sculpture as well as eight new works, letter-carving on stone, from the Memorial Arts Charity's Art & Memory Collection.

10am to 12 noon, Banvie Hall, Blair Castle

A demonstration of letter-cutting techniques by the sculptors and an opportunity to talk to them about their work. Musical accompaniment by a string quartet from the Tunnell Trust for Young Musicians.

2.30pm for 3pm, Hercules Garden, MacGregor's Folly

Opening of the Art and Memory Collection by Harriet Frazer and Christine Oestreicher. Introduction by Sarah Troughton, Head Trustee, Blair Castle. Musical accompaniment by a wind ensemble from the Tunnell Trust for Young Musicians. There will be an information display about the new works inside MacGregor's folly.

Prices: Free as part of standard Gardens entry
