Atholl Estates' Works Department requires the above to work as part of its in-house team that carries out various small-to-medium projects and maintenance for 280 houses, 19 farms, five shooting lodges, two industrial sites, a number of shops, a caravan park, five hydro systems, 150 miles of private roads/tracks, 100 bridges, private water supplies and the historic Blair Castlet; all of which is set in 143,000 acres of Highland Perthshire.
You will not be exclusively working on stone and brick work. You will be required to assist other trades in their duties i.e. foul drainage pipework, timber stud walls, insulation of walls and loft space, checking and cleaning of private water supplies.
You must have certificates showing completion of SVQ/NVQ apprenticeship and a minimum of five years' qualified experience will be required. A broad range of construction knowledge and experience would be an advantage. The post is a physically demanding and you will be out in all weather conditions. An element of working out with normal hours would be required along with being on a rota for winter maintenance operations.
