Land management in the UK over the last fifty years has become increasingly specialised and intensive to the extent that most people now think of farming, forestry and gamekeeping as distinct operations with little in common.
However on estates like Atholl, the integrated approach to land management is still very much in place and increasingly so as we move away from intensive production. We find this a much more effective model in producing benefits to our countryside and in maintaining an efficient business.
